AirAsia awarded the “Best Asian Low-Cost Carrier”

AirAsiaAirasia awarded as the Best Asian Low-Cost Carrier by Asia Pacific’s travel news publisher, TTG , for the second time. The award went to AirAsia after industry stakeholders, which includes the travel agents, tour operators and destination management companies voted for the airline in a three-month poll conducted by TTG. AirAsia received this award for being the low-cost airline and also providing the best service, network and schedules and as well as for being a agent-friendly during reservations, confirmations and for having the most professional sales and marketing teams in terms of innovative ideas, incentive programmes and servicing.

AirAsia has approximately flown over 55 million guests. Airasia placed an order for 175 Airbus 320s and 25 Airbus 330’s for AirAsia X. The AirAsia Group operates an extensive network of over 106 routes and flies to all Asean countries, China and Australia from its six hubs – Kuala Lumpur, Johor Baru, Kota Kinabalu, Bangkok, Jakarta and Bali.

The low cost carriers plans to expand operations network by the year-end , the expansion from Kuala Lumpur to Australia ( Melbourne and Perth) started in November and will also fly to Tiruchilapally, India. While Air Niugini, is a new carrier to Kuala Lumpur, and plans to start the new services to Papua New Guinea.
