5.5 magnitude quake strikes Pakistan
August 27th, 2011 - 5:06 am ICT by IANSIslamabad, Aug 27 (IANS) An earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale jolted Pakistan’s Rawalpindi city among various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in the wee hours Saturday, Geo News reported.
No loss of life or property was immediately reported.
According to the Met office, quake rocked Peshawar, Mardan, Chitral and Lower Dir while Rawalpindi, Haripur, Abbottabad and Tarbela areas were also struck by the moderate quake.
