54 children injured as bus falls into ravine in Pakistan
May 31st, 2010 - 4:14 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, May 31 (IANS) Fifty-four school children were injured, five critically, when their bus plunged into a ravine Monday, police said.
The students, aged between 11 and 16, were on a recreational trip when the accident occurred on a hillside road near Wovla-Moch in Chitral district of Khyber-Pakhtoonkhwa, formerly known as the North West Frontier Province.
Police and rescue teams immediately reached the spot and shifted the injured children to the district hospital, where the condition of five was stated to be critical, Online news agency reported.
