4 children die in Pakistan blast (Lead)
April 6th, 2011 - 4:22 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, April 6 (IANS) At least four children were killed and three people were injured Wednesday in an explosion in Pakistan’s northwestern district of Kohat, police said.
The explosion took place in a playground when some children brought a “strange thing” from the fields in Jerma village, Xinhua quoted the police as saying.
As soon as some elderly people, who were watching the children playing with it, went to check it, a massive blast occurred.
Kohat is in Pakistan’s restive Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
