39 held in Karachi for various crimes
July 21st, 2012 - 10:02 pm ICT by IANSKarachi, July 21 (IANS) Police in Pakistan’s port city of Karachi conducted raids in many areas and arrested 39 people allegedly involved in robbery and extortion, Geo News reported Saturday.
Police official Amir Farooqui said the culprits were arrested from truck-stands in Maripur area for their involvement in snatching goods from trailers.
Two Kalashnikov rifles and two pistols were recovered from their possession.
Another police official said stolen motorcycles, mobile phones and drugs were seized.
