28 killed, over forty injured in twin bomb blasts at PA office in Mohmand Agency
December 6th, 2010 - 5:48 pm ICT by ANIGhalanai, Dec 6(ANI): At least 28 people were killed and over forty others injured in two powerful bomb blasts, which took place at the office of political agent (PA) in Pakistan’s north-western tribal belt on the Afghan border.
The bomb explosion took place in Mohmand Agency area of Ghalanai on Monday, Geo News reports.
The injured are being shifted to Lady Reading Hospital. Those who cannot be given treatment at the District hospital are being transported to hospitals in Peshawar.
Personnel from law enforcement agencies arrived on the spot, and the entire agency has been cordoned off with heavy security at all check posts.
According to the political agent, one of the two blasts at the office was a suicide attack. (ANI)
