Kathmandu, Apr 8 (ANI): At least twenty-five activists of the Nepali Congress (NC) were injured on Tuesday in suspected Maoists attacks.
At least four NC cadres were seriously injured in Maoist attack at Rupakot in Tanahun. Nearly 150 cadres of Maoist youth front Young Communist League (YCL) surrounded the village and attacked the NC activists this morning, according to police.
In yet another incident, 12 NC activists were injured, four of them critically, in YCL attack at far-flung Korthar VDC in Nawalparasi district, kantipuronline.com reported.
On Monday, three NC cadres went missing and 12 others were injured in a scuffle with the Maoists. In a separate incident, a Nepali Congress candidate and eight other activists were injured in an attack carried out by the Maoist cadres at Balkot in Arghakhanchi.
The whereabouts of five injured NC activists is unknown, the party said. (ANI)
