24 Taliban militants killed in Pakistan

Islamabad, Dec 24 (IANS) At least 24 gunmen and three soldiers were killed Friday morning after Taliban militants attacked checkposts in Pakistan’s northwestern region bordering Afghanistan, a media report said.About 150 Taliban militants attacked five Frontier Corps checkposts in Baidnami village in Mohmand district near the border with Afghanistan, Geo News reported citing a senior security official.
The attack left 24 militants and three paramilitary soldiers dead, the official said, adding that 12 security men were injured in the clash.
