Islamabad, May 8 (ANI): Security forces on Friday claimed that they had killed 24 more militants in Lower Dir and Swat.
According to the sources, security personnel targeted terrorist positions in Maidan tehsil of the region killing at least 24 militants.
A police station in the Adeen Zai tehsil was also destroyed in a bomb attack triggered by the extremists, The News reported.
Pakistan Air Force warplanes and gunship helicopters continued their operation targeting militant hideouts in Kabal tehsil of the Swat Valley, however no casualties were reported till the reports last filtered in.
Fighters jets were also seen hovering over Mingora and Matta teshil, sources added.
Meanwhile, authorities have once again imposed an indefinite curfew in the region after it was relaxed on Thursday.
Thousands of people have migrated from the region fearing the operation to intensify in days to come. (ANI)
