The clash took place following a dispute over which of the two rival clerics should lead the Eidul Azha prayers, the Dawn reported.
Police official Javed Ahmed said that the followers of the two local religious leaders pulled out weapons and started shooting inside the mosque in Balochistan province’s Khuzdar district on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Muslims all over the world are celebrating Eid ul Azha, which involves the slaughter of sheep and cattle in remembrance of Prophet Ibrahim’s near-sacrifice of his son. (ANI)
