15 killed in Pakistan suicide bombing
February 17th, 2012 - 5:18 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, Feb 17 (IANS) At least 15 people were killed and 10 injured Friday in a suicide blast that tore through a market in Pakistan’s northwest tribal area, a media report said.
The attack took place around 1.50 p.m. at the main market in Parachinar, a city in northwest Kurram Agency, which is located just 15 km from the Afghan border, reported Xinhua citing a TV report.
Many shops around the blast site were damaged.
Friday’s suicide blast in Kurram Agency is the third of its kind that happened in Pakistan over the last two days.
Two suicide blasts took place Thursday in northwest Pakistan, one of which was in Upper Dir in which three pro-government militiamen were killed and seven injured.
