15 killed in Pakistan bus fire (Lead)
July 12th, 2011 - 9:45 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, July 12 (IANS) At least 15 people were burnt to death Tuesday when the bus they were travelling in caught fire on a highway near the Pakistani capital, police said.
The incident took place when one of the five gas cylinders of the bus exploded, Geo News reported.
Police said the bus, on its way from Faizabad to Kallar Syedan town, caught fire near Korang town. There were 35 to 40 people inside at the time of the explosion.
The number of casualties may increase, officials said. So far, six bodies have been recovered from the gutted bus.
