12 killed in Pakistan hotel bombing
August 25th, 2011 - 11:59 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, Aug 25 (IANS) At least 12 people were killed and 17 injured Thursday evening in a blast at a hotel in northwest Pakistan bordering Afghanistan, a media report said.
The blast took place at about 8.30 p.m. when a remote-controlled bomb fixed to a bicycle exploded at a hotel in Rasalpore Chowk area of Nowshera city, some 50 km east of Peshawar in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Xinhua reported citing Urdu TV channel Samaa.
Police cordoned off the area shortly after the blast. All the injured people have been shifted to a hospital.
No group has claimed responsibility for the blast.
