10 killed in Pakistan mine collapse
January 25th, 2012 - 9:39 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, Jan 25 (IANS) At least 10 labourers were killed and several injured when a phosphate mine collapsed in Pakistan’s Abbotabad city Wednesday afternoon.
The incident occurred in Kali Daar area of Abbotabad, a mountainous town located 60 km north of capital city of Islamabad, when some unknown number of labourers were working inside the mine, Xinhua reported citing local media.
The reason of the collapse could not be immediately known.
The toll was expected to rise as several labourers were buried under the collapsed mine, said residents.
