plaveLos Angeles, Oct 11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The first commercial manned spacecraft of the world completed its maiden flight on Sunday and was able to make a successful landing at the Mojave Air and Space Port. The latest development is surely a new feather in the cap of Virgin Atlantic which aims to become the first commercial space line of the world which would be able to take people to trips above the atmosphere of the Earth.

Following the successful run of the spacecraft, a statement has been issued by Virgin Atlantic which revealed that the spaceship was released from it mothership at an altitude of 45,000 ft and was able to complete its first flight without any kind of hindrance. The successful completion of the first flight of the spacecraft which has been named VSS Enterprise has indeed come as a huge relief to the officials of Virgin Atlantic who have been working unrelentingly so that the dream of it owner industrialist Richard Branson to make the first spacecraft materializes. While talking about the experience of flying VSS Enterprise, pilot Pete Siebold later told reporters that the spacecraft was indeed a ‘real joy to fly’ given the fact that not only has it been designed to be a Mach 3.5 spaceship but also one of the world’s highest altitude gliders.

In the meanwhile, Virgin Atlantic revealed through a statement that the spaceship is now on its way in emerging as the first commercial line across the globe with ‘370 customer deposits totaling $50 million.’ Each ticket on the spacecraft costs a whopping $200,000 and an estimated 80,000 have reportedly already registered for it.
