vernalMar 19, (THAINDIAN NEWS) After experiencing several chilly months of winter, people of the North Pole are waiting for the spring season. According to the reports, Saturday, March 20, 2010 is the day of the vernal equinox and people are a bit relieved as the snow falls and winter storms are finally over. Tomorrow people will experience equal day and equal night. It has been reported that sun will be overhead on Equator at 10:34 a.m. on Saturday morning to mark the first day of the spring season.

Vernal equinox is a natural phenomenon that occurs every year and reports indicate even though the duration of day and night will be equal on this day, it does not have any connection with the Daylight Savings Time. As per the reports, people of North America has already started to observe the Daylight Savings Time from March 14 and there will not have to experience any change for the Vernal Equinox.

According to the reports, the natural phenomenon of vernal equinox, which will be observed tomorrow has a huge significance. Yet, that does not mean that the natural phenomenon had lost its importance. They are still observed by people of different religions as multiple rituals are associated with them. Though vernal equinox is a natural phenomenon, several tales, which have been associated with it retains its popularity till the present days.
