A number of technical cooperation programmes are also in the pipeline whereby, the IAEA will help the UAE in developing a national nuclear energy infrastructure for power generation, IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano told WAM.

“The UAE and IAEA are also cooperating to set up a strategic e-learning portal for the Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research (KUSTAR), considering the vital role nuclear culture and training play in developing the country’s nuclear programme,” he said.
