Chennai, March 18 (IANS) City-based Technology Frontiers (I) Pvt Ltd (TFPL) is targeting growing malls and retail chains for its digital kiosks, said a top official here. “We have signed deals with Future Group to install our kiosks in their malls,” M.S. Muralidharan, managing director of TFPL, told IANS on the sidelines of the press conference after launching a multi-broadcast digital kiosk TOUCHME Tuesday.
He said the full touch screen digital kiosk is web and transaction enabled so that a person could book airline and cinema tickets and also do online banking, mobile phone recharge and even gaming.
TFPL is currently leasing its kiosks to malls and retail chains, which in turn would find clients for kiosks.
“Our revenue will be lease rentals from the mall or retail chain owners,” Muralidharan said.
Speaking about the order from the Future Group that owns chains like Pantaloon and Big Bazaar, he said: “To start with, we will be supplying 200 kiosks this month and another 200 units will go before this year end.”
On the banking side, the company has bagged an order from Exim Bank and talks are on with two other international banks.
Earlier addressing the media he said, TFPL was also making giant digital screens that were installed in the different sport stadiums.
The company has bagged the mandate to install the screens at all the three cricket venues -Chennai, Ahmedabad and Kanpur) and also for LED digital ground boards for the forthcoming test cricket series between India and South Africa.
According to him the company would recover its investment/fee paid to the local cricket body from corporate sponsors.
