Summit to ease growth of Kerala IT/ITES industry

Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 10 (IANS) The India IT Summit of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) beginning here Jan 19 is expected to facilitate the growth of IT and IT-enabled service (ITES) industry in Kerala.
“India IT Summit 2012 will be the ideal platform for increased visibility of the state as an IT destination through national exposure,” V.K. Mathews, summit chairman, told reporters Tuesday.
Over 300 delegates, including chief executives, industry experts, politicians, academics and government officials, are expected to attend the two-day meet, said Mathews, executive chairman of IBS Software Services.
Global consulting firm KPMG, the knowledge partner for the event, will bring out a white paper on the Indian IT industry.
It will be released by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy during the inaugural session.
