June 10th, 2010 - 3:36 pm ICT by IANSSeoul, June 10 (IANS) South Korea launched a homemade rocket Thursday, but communication with the satellite-carrier was lost a few minutes after the blast-off, Xinhua reported.
The two-stage satellite-carrier Naro-1, or the Korea Space Launch Vehicle-1 (KSLV-1), lifted off from the Naro Space Centre in South Jeolla province, some 485 km south of Seoul.
The launch of the rocket, developed with help from Russia, was delayed Wednesday due to a technical problem.
