lunar1Dec 19, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Skygazers are in for a huge treat in the week ahead as the last lunar eclipse of the year is all set to make its presence felt in the interweaving night of December 20 and December 21. Given the fact that the residents of North America are expected to be able to catch the celestial delight without much hindrance on Tuesday morning, it does not come as a surprise that a variety of events are being planned in cities across the country.

In a bid to provide the perfect platform to skygazers, the New York City based American Museum of Natural History is organizing a ‘Winter Solstice Telescope Party’ on Monday that would surely be a dream come true for celestial enthusiasts. Apart from all the fun and frolic, the party would include observation of astronomical objects while tips on the best way to catch the lunar eclipse that would follow the next day, would also be provided. Meanwhile, the scenario is no different at the Adler Planetarium in Chicago where a free ‘Total Lunar Eclipse Party’ would be held on the night of December 20 which would continue till the next morning where the celestial enthusiasts can watch the full eclipse with the help of astronomers and volunteers who would be present to guide them through.

Apart from these, a number of events have also been organized in many parts of the country where the only aim to enjoy watching the last lunar eclipse of the year to the fullest. The only thing that skygazers are hoping for is a clear sky, devoid of clouds and fogs to facilitate perfect viewing.
