Satellite captures ‘Burning Man’ Festival photos from space

Nevada, Sept 6 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The European Space Agency’s Proba-1 microsatellite on Thursday captured shots of the Burning Man festival in the Nevada desert. The event is a week long process and this year, 50,000 tickets were sold to the public. The tickets were all picked by July.

In the images which were released by the European Space Agency, the campers and their vehicles could be seen in black and white photos. The final photo is made up of four images which were taking by the satellite on Thursday. The officials of the ESA announced that the images were taken at 5 meters resolution.

The event this year is the 25th one since it began modestly among friends in 1986. It is always planned around the Labor Day. The one week event always draw massive crowd to the event. The climax of the festival is the torching of the wooden structure which is the symbolism of the whole event.

This year’s event began on the 29th of August to the 5th of September. The event was held at the Black Rock Desert where it has been held annually since 1990. The height of the wooden torch man is 50 feet high.
