Moscow, Apr 25 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Russian officials have flatly denied all claims that they had conducted a ‘secret-sex’ experiment in space. There have been rumors since a while that there have been some ‘sex-in-space’ experiments by Russian government in space, but now finally the matter has been laid to rest by a Russian space official.

Valery Bogomolov, who is the deputy director of the Moscow-based Institute of Biomedical Problems, said that, There is no official or unofficial evidence that there were instances of sexual intercourse or the carrying out of sexual experiments in space. At least, in the history of Russian or Soviet space exploration, this most certainly was not the case.”

He also added that he can’t say the same thing with confidence about the American space astronauts. However he did add that as per his knowledge nothing of the kind took place. He also divulged that there is no official data on such an experiment and it is just a rumor.

However former astronaut Leroy Chiao who went on 4 space missions during 1994 and 2005 said that, “I’m not aware of an official NASA policy on this. It was not discussed when I was there, it was simply understood. Nobody brought it up — it simply wasn’t a consideration.”
