Private investments in science should increase
July 9th, 2010 - 7:29 pm ICT by IANSKolkata, July 9 (IANS) Private investments in science and technology should increase for better industrial growth, Science and Technology Secretary T. Ramasami said here Friday.
“Private investments should increase in the field of science and technology for leveraging industrial growth,” Ramasami said, addressing an interactive session organised by Bharat Chamber of Commerce (BCC).
Ramasami said programmes have been launched to attract talents to science. Innovation of Science Pursuit for Inspire Research (INSPIRE) proposed by the department of science and technology is one such innovative programmes.
“We have taken up programmes for attraction of talents to science. INSPIRE is one such programme to communicate to the youth of the country the excitement of creative pursuit of science.
“INSPIRE will also help to attract talent to the study of science at an early stage and build the required critical human resource pool,” Ramasami added.
