Is this really Bigfoot?Matthew Whitton and Rick Dyer held press conference at 1.00 pm Friday in Palo Alto, California, talking a great deal about their discovery of a body that they believe is Bigfoot.

At the press conference, the men were joined by professional Bigfoot hunter, and Bigfoot Internet radio show host Tom Biscardi, who supports their find. The conference was filled with over 100 reporters from different media sources.

The two men claim that they discovered the body which they believed to be ‘Bigfoot‘ of a 7-foot-7, 500-pound in early June when they were hiking. The half-ape, half-human creature was near a stream. They also claimed to have spotted about three similar living creatures. They showed reporters video stills of what they say is one of those creatures shadowing them through the woods and also the video of a hairy heap, bearing a close resemblance to a shaggy full-body gorilla costume, stuffed into a container resembling a refrigerator.

Biscardi also showed reporters two blurry photos, claiming one was the mouth of the “creature” while the other was another creature running through the Georgia woods. The men claimed they “stumbled on the creature,” but would not reveal more because they were concerned about it being an “endangered species.”

Matthew Whitton said in the press conference ;

“We were not looking for Bigfoot. … We wouldn’t know what we were doing if we did,”

“I didn’t believe in Bigfoot at the time. … But you’ve got to come to terms with it and realize you’ve got something special. And that’s what it was.” he added.

Bigfoot experts and reporters reacted suspiciously to the men speeches and provided little in the way of proof.

“What I’ve seen so far is not compelling in the least, and I think the pictures cast grave doubts on their claim,” said Jeffery Meldrum, a Bigfoot researcher and Idaho State University professor.

Matthew Whitton also said “It seems that the stalkers have busted us in a hoax,”. Then he added, “we still have a corpse. We just wanted to give you something to do for the weekend.”

The two Bigfoot seekers also brought what they said were the results of DNA tests on the corpse’s body tissue which were undertaken by Curt Nelson, a biologist at the University of Minnesota.

According to Mr Nelson, one test showed human DNA, another was inconclusive, while a third came back as the DNA of a possum, which he said could have been from something the Bigfoot had eaten.
