Islamabad, Feb 23 (IANS) Millions of internet users in Pakistan were not able to access the popular video sharing website YouTube after the government decided to block it for allegedly featuring cartoons of Prophet Mohammed, Daily Times reported Saturday. The Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA), in its order, has directed all Internet service providers in the country to block access to the website because ” the ratio of non-Islamic objectionable videos has increased on it”.
“The site would remain blocked till further orders from the PTA,” a local ISP worker said.
The cartoons, first published in a Danish newspaper, had triggered widespread protests across the Muslim world. Pakistan’s foreign ministry had recently registered a strong protest with the Danish government against the re-publication of the cartoons.
YouTube, powered by Google, allows people to easily upload and share video clips through websites, mobile devices, blogs, and email.

Israel has the moral authority to protect its citizens and soveregnty
from the endless morters that the Hamas Government fire daily accross her borders. The Hamas government is a terrorist organisation that implements suicide bombings promising matyrdom
will be rewarded by 72 virgins in heaven! This is the primitive Islamic mindset that civilised peacemakers struggle with and the reason whu Condaleeza Rice has stepped back & allowed Israel to deal with this problem unfettered by US critcism.
