NIIT quarterly net profit up marginally
July 22nd, 2011 - 6:59 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, July 22 (IANS) IT training services institute NIIT Ltd Friday reported marginal growth in net profit at Rs.13.1 crore for the quarter ended June 30 as against Rs.13 crore during the like period of the previous financial year.
The revenue increased 15.54 percent at Rs.321.2 crore during the quarter under review as against Rs.278 crore in the corresponding year-ago period, the company said in a statement.
During the quarter under review, the company launched India’s first cloud campus with its flagship GNIIT programme.
“Students joining the programme will have digital courseware and necessary applications on their netbook devices, thus enjoying 24×7 availability of hands-on lab and other learning resources,” the statement said.
This enables their anytime-anywhere learning, leading to comprehensive mastery of their subjects.
At the Bombay Stock Exchange, the shares of the company closed at Rs.55.85.
