New managing director takes charge of Samsung India
January 9th, 2012 - 7:39 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Jan 9 (IANS) B.D. Park took over Monday as the new managing director of the consumer durables company, Samsung India.
Park will oversee operations of Samsung India Electronics, Samsung India Software Operations (SISO) and Samsung’s research and development (R&D;) centre, Samsung India Software Centre (SISC) and Samsung Electronics Lab (SEL) India.
He will also take care of Samsung’s R&D; centre at Noida in the national capital region as well as the company’s operations in the SAARC region.
“Park, who was head of Mobile and IT division at Samsung India as director, Mobile and IT, assumes his new role from today. He succeeds Jung Soo Shin who was president and CEO for Samsung South West Asia from February 2009 till date,” the company said in a statement.
Park brings with him over 28 years of experience at Samsung.
