October 4th, 2010 - 8:09 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattOct 4 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Great news new earth like planet has been found. The new look-alike planet was found outside our Solar System. The team of European astronomers announced their latest discovery.
According to the observation recorded by the scientists, the earth like planet would be covered with oceans and also support life. It is 20.5 light years away and also has the right temperature to hold liquid on its surface.
Not much has been revealed about this new planet, but scientists claims that new earth would be the best candidate to support extraterrestrial life. The latest discovery has red star called Gliese 581 has a one-and –a-half times the diameter as compared to Earth.
The new planet has substantial atmosphere and right amount of water to support life. And most important thing is that the new planet has suitable temperature just like our old earth.
The new exoplanet has similar features like our old earth. Out of 220 exoplanet discovered till date this new planet has right temperature, water and environment for life to survive. In earlier discoveries the planets were either too hot or too cold or made of gas, thus making life difficult to sustain.
