April 19th, 2010 - 11:52 pm ICT by BNO NewsCAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA (BNO NEWS) – Discovery’s landing opportunity was delayed because of bad weather, the NASA said Monday.
The seven astronauts boarding Discovery received a “no go” to perform the deorbit burn and decided to delay their landing opportunity, which was programmed at 10:23 a.m. EDT.
Low cloud coverage at Kennedy Space Center’s Shuttle Landing Facility did not improve, and the landing will be reprogrammed for Tuesday, which has its first deorbit burn opportunity at 6:28 a.m. EDT and its first landing opportunity at 7:34 a.m. EDT.
