Nasa Bombs The Moon

Washington, Oct. 10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Friday had been slated to be the day that the world was to witness the grandeur of NASA bombing the Lunar surface. The twin space probe that was launched by NASA was done in an effort to check for the availability of water (if there is any) on the surface of the moon.
The bombing of the moon’s deeply cratered surface on Friday was brought about at a speed of 5,600 mph (which has been thought to be equivalent to that 1.5 tons of TNT). The aim of the twin space probe was to verify whether there was any amount of water present on or inside the surface of the moon by creating a deep crater, of sizable measure. This would, eventually, go about to determine the aim by filling up the pool like crater [reportedly of the size of an Olympic swimming pool].
According to the emerging reports, it has highlighted that the impact of the second collision of the LCROSS or the smaller moon probe was to have near about one third the strength in comparison to the first crash landing. A feat for which the eyes of almost the entire world had remained trained on the screens of the camera projection that have been yielded by the twin probes. The smaller of the two have about 5 cameras and four complex scientific instruments attached to it.
The mission however proved to be a damper for many of the hundreds who had gathered together in front of giant screens to witness the space spectacle. Many, who had turned up expecting to see a celestial firework on display, were disappointed to see nothing more than a fuzzy outburst of white light.
