Alaska, Dec. 29, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Mount Redoubt volcano in Alaska, which is known as one of the active volcanoes of the world, has once again led to a series of earthquakes in the region. According to the reports, Mount Redoubt has started activities from Sunday evening. Though the activities in the mountain continued on Monday, it has not wrecked havoc to the life of people. However, the authorities do not want to take any risk and an aviation alert of yellow code has been raised by the Alaska Volcano Observatory.
The last updates about the Mount Redoubt volcano indicates that several earthquake jolts were felt in the region and the volcanologists are considering this to be the preface of lava eruption from the volcano. Last volcanic eruptions from this mountain were followed by series of earthquake and the volcanologists are anticipating the same can occur this time.
The volocanologists have issued alert but they have not rejected the fact that the activities in this mountain can slow down gradually. It has been reported that the volcanologists are using paging alert to know about the activities in the mountain. Last spring, the volcano monitoring center was working all throughout the day to indicate the level of activities.
As Mount Redoubt has started rumbling again, airport authorities have already started to consider rerouting of some flights. Earlier this year, several flights were canceled due to the ash clouds formed after volcanic eruption from the mountain. This mountain has led to some major volcanic eruptions in last spring and the reports of continuous activities in this mountain has worried people.
