Mar 26, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The experts at NASA have conducted numerous researches and have launched several expeditions on space to collect more information about the outer world. According to the reports, the Opportunity rover sent by the scientists of NASA has recently provided images of some strange stuffs related to the planet Mars, which has surprised the scientist. Reports indicate that the recent pictures of Martian craters that has been sent by the rover have offered the scientists a new subject for analysis.
According to the reports, the rover, which had presented the NASA scientists some interesting facts about the crater had investigated the crater, ‘Concepcion’ for a period of six weeks. It has been reported that the crater, on which the rover has worked for more than a month has a diameter of almost thirty-three feet. Reports also indicated that the initial investigations suggested that ‘Concepcion’ is an impact crater, which is also another reason for the scientists’ interest about it.
The investigation conducted by Opportunity on this Martian crater indicated that the many rocks present on this crater consisted of some unusual substances. It has been reported that the rocks consisted of some tiny pebbles of dark gray color, which were rich in iron and was packed in a compact manner. Noting the appearance of these unusual rocky substances, the scientists have named them as “blueberries”. Reports indicated that these substances were similar to some small and solid spheres that were discovered by Opportunity when it investigated the Eagle crater. As per the reports, the rover has now targeted another larger crater after finding some unusual substances from ‘Concepcion’.
