September 20th, 2008 - 12:29 am ICT by David M N James -

Intelius, has launched a search engine - isearch.com .

The giant company is a leading people search, background check and identity theft protection provider. The company launched isearch.com today at DEMOfall 08.

Isearch.com comes with applications for personal security to finding a long-lost school friend and allows users to search for people using information from a past or present context. The new web company will make a big difference in people search and might be the next big thing in tracking old networks and friends.

Chris Shipley, executive producer of the DEMOfall 08 conference said that “Intelius’ iSearch.com is the next generation of people search and is destined to change the way we search for information about people online,”. “DEMO offers companies like Intelius with a worldwide platform to launch the most groundbreaking products. Speculators point out that iSearch.com is to generate a lot of attention and possibly make ‘Googling’ a shadow’.

The creators of iSearch.com say that it uses proprietary semantic technology to link billions of online and offline records from public databases, professional databases and social networking profiles to instantly categorize and connect data creating comprehensive profiles of individuals. This makes it a high tech tool to locate human profiles and could also help crime busters to crack down on criminals.

Public databases contain current and previous phone numbers and addresses, age, relatives, and neighbors. Professional databases include information about employment and education history, email addresses, domain registrations, and colleagues and classmates. Social networking profiles provide information such as screen names, interests, activities and friends.
