Himachal chief minister launches Meow radio station
December 6th, 2009 - 6:44 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Shimla, Dec 6 (IANS) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal Sunday launched an FM radio station - Meow 104.8 FM - here.
This was the second FM radio station launched by a private company in the town.
Dhumal said opening of new radio stations and TV channels indicated that electronic media was growing at a faster pace in the country.
“Radio channels are basically committed to educate, inform and entertain the masses, but at the same time listeners and society expect these to maintain a high level of credibility and healthy entertainment,” he said.
Earlier, the Reliance group had launched Big FM 92.4 station in the town.
