Hide groups on MySpace

- With social networking sites making privacy a thing of the past. MySpace has now brought out a special section on how to hide the groups you belong to on its site. It is now possible to hide your groups if you do not want your friends and followers to know which group you belong to. Earlier friends and followers were able to see the groups that one joined. Now this information can be hidden from them if one is not comfortable about letting friends know about one’s groups. There a few simple steps to be followed if you want to keep your groups private and hidden.
The first step is to log in to your MySpace account using your own username and password. Then go to the “Control Panel” and click on “Settings”. Then click on the tab “Miscellaneous” which appears on the top of the menu. You will find a number of options displayed, and now you have to go to the one that has a “Groups” header. There you will see a tab that says “Display Groups on Profile”. This tab will be checked. All you have to do is simply uncheck the box. Next, you have to click on the “Save Changes” button so that the site remembers your preference and hides your groups from being publicly displayed. Now you can comfortably follow groups and join new groups without letting your friends and followers know anything about them at all.
This is a very good step to protect your privacy even when you are on a social bookmarking site.
