Dubai, May 28 (IANS) The United Arab Emirates (UAE) based telecom services provider Etisalat has announced the launch of high speed Internet leased lines with speeds up to one Gbps (gigabit per second) for business users in the UAE, WAM news agency reported Wednesday. The new service would give customers fastest access speeds in the region. Etisalat is the first Internet services provider in the region to offer leased lines with speed of one Gbps.
High speed Internet access would enable faster access to real-time requirements such as ERP modules, CRM, online trading/auctions, currency exchanges and stock market transactions.
“High bandwidth usage today has become the norm. We have responded to those needs and are very pleased to be able to offer them such high speed Internet services,” said Abdulla Hashim, vice president enterprise solutions, Etisalat.
Factors such as the growing trend among businesses to centralise their operations thereby requiring very high-speed connectivity at the central location and convergence of data, voice, video and mobility solutions have led to an increasing need for high speed Internet access among business community.
