Cloud cover in Delhi shadows Jupiter

New Delhi, July 9 (IANS) The overcast sky Wednesday evening brought disappointment to sky gazers in the capital as the clouds shadowed the view of Jupiter, which was the brightest from earth. The Nehru Planetarium has put out a telescope for public viewing but the view was not clear.

“Since morning, the sky was overcast and it was drizzling. So the view was not clear,” said Nehru Planetarium director N. Rathnashree.

On Wednesday Jupiter and earth came closest and were in a straight line. Jupiter was brightest at this time of the year.
