Toronto, Jan 21 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A student has taken a very unusual experiment after he wore a pair of tight jeans for 15 months without washing them.

His motive was to find out the number and the kind of bacteria that would be accumulated in the jeans. So for 15 months, Josh Le wore the jeans. He estimates that he wore the jeans for at least 200 times and slept with the jeans on for a month.

As expected, at a point in time, the jeans were smelling badly. Le said that when the odor that was coming from the jeans became unbearable, he placed the jeans in a freezer and when he removed it, he realized to his astonishment that the odor had disappeared.

The experiment which started on the 10th day of September, 2009 eventually ended on the 17th day of December, 2010. The jeans were then collected by the textile professor of University of Alberta, Rachel McQueen and eventually tested for bacteria.

The results came out that all the bacteria that were contained in the jeans were human bacteria that were not considered harmful. The jeans then were washed after 15 months.

Surprisingly, when Le wore the jean for 13 days after it was washed, a test on the jeans revealed similar bacteria to the earlier test.

Le who is a student of University of Alberta expressed his shock. He revealed that he thought the second test was going to be much lower than that of the first one.
