Sep 10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Atlanta researcher William Holland has just seen a ‘Princess Diaries’ happening to him as the result of a genealogical research has revealed that he is actually the relative of a ruling family in Cameroon. As he plans to visit the West African country with his family in November this year, he will be receiving the royal treatment from his long lost relatives in the country.
William Holland has already visited Cameroon once in March and will be going again with his entire family later in the year. A DNA test revealed years ago to the researcher that his great grandfather was a slave who ended up serving in the army during the civil war. In spite of most of his family being figured out in the family tree of William Holland, he did not in his wildest imagination expect that he will come across such an information that makes him a relative of the ruling family in Cameroon.
William Holland revealed that he was ecstatic to hear the news. He added that after hearing for ages that he came from the slaves, it was quite amazing to know that he actually came from the royals. William Holland’s case is a breakthrough in various ways for research in the field as it is difficult to find out the origins of several African-Americans due to the records of the slaves being so scarcely available. William Holland is presently working in getting the rest of his family history organized and also encouraging others to go on a quest to discover one’s family roots. He also added that the people in Cameroon consider him and his family lost children.

I am a descendant of European royalty. This man’s family probably sold him to slave traders. Of course he will not know. Or want to know.

Mr. Holland,
I am glad to hear the news. This means that we are cousins since my family had the same results from the Sorenson DNA project last year. We plan to have a family reunion in Atlanta next July.
