Bangalore, July 31 (IANS) B.S. Yeddyurappa Sunday finally resigned as Karnataka’s chief minister.
The Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) first chief minister in south India submitted his resignation letter to state governor H.R. Bhardwaj at Raj Bhavan.
This came three days after the party’s parliamentary board Thursday directed him to step down after his indictment by the Lokayukta (ombudsman) N. Santosh Hegde in a multi-crore rupee mining scam.
