Lisa MurkowskiAnchorage, Nov 1, (THAINDIAN NEWS) It would come as a surprise if write-in candidate Lisa Murkowski is indeed successful in pulling off a political miracle. With a latest polling survey hinting that the write-in Republican candidate is leading the race for Alaska’s Senate, Lisa Murkowski has indeed emerged as one of the frontrunners in winning the elections and holding on to her post be beating GOP rival Joe Miller as well as Democrat Scott McAdams.

The distinct political campaigns that each of the candidates have undertaken in order to grab the attention of the voters is something that is already making news. While Lisa Murkowski has been in the process of distributing fliers which has pictures of cows and skis to enable voters to be well-acquainted with her name, Democratic candidate Scott McAdams is seizing eye-balls with advertisements that mock the time that the former commercial fisherman has spent while on a boat with a Norwegian captain. However, if the write-in Republican candidate indeed manages to win the Alaska Senate race then it would surely be a record of sorts as she would be the first candidate all across the nation to win a write-in bid for United States senator since the year 1954 when Strom Thurmond won the race from South Carolina.

In the meanwhile, the Alaska Supreme Court gave the ruling last week that now allows election workers to provide a list of write-in candidates to the voters who need ask for one but only the list is imperative to meet a specific need of the voters.
