New Delhi, July 19 (IANS) Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi Thursday said he would be playing “a more proactive role in the party and the government”.
“I will play more proactive role in the party and the government. The decision has been taken, the timing is up to the leadership,” Rahul Gandhi told NDTV after voting for presidential election in the parliament.
The remarks come in the backdrop of Congress leaders in recent days urging him to move to the party’s mainstream.
Congress president Sonia Gandhi had Wednesday told reporters that said it was for her son to decide on the issue.
