White House Administration supports American Workers, State, and Business Relief Act
March 3rd, 2010 - 1:51 am ICT by BNO NewsWASHINGTON, D.C. (BNO NEWS) – The White House stated Tuesday their administration policy on the American Workers, State, and Business Relief Act of 2010.
Passage of this bill will provide relief to families and to struggling States while encouraging continued job creation by national businesses.
The bill includes several important provisions such as an extension of extended unemployment insurance, prevention of dramatic cuts in reimbursements for doctors in Medicare, an extension of increased American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Federal Medical Assistance Percentage rates, an extension of subsidies so that the Small Business Administration can continue certain lending programs with reduced fees, and targeted pension-funding relief.
Other measures are detailed in the bill that will encourage companies to invest in new technologies and create more high-tech jobs, while the legislation also extended the tax credit for biodiesel and renewable diesel.
The Administration expressed their desire to continue working with the Congress on these and additional measures to promote private sector job creation.
