Video of the parliament sting operation to clarify matters
July 22nd, 2008 - 6:48 pm ICT by adminThe Indian Parliament has seen major action today! 3 BJP MPs have alledged that they were bribed Rs.1 crore (Rs.10 million) each to stay away from the Lok Sabha later Tuesday and promised Rs.8 crore (Rs.80 million) after the conclusion of the trust vote.
“In my parliamentary career, I have never come across such a sad situation where MPs were offered money to abstain from voting (in the confidence vote),” a visibly upset Advani told reporters outside the parliament house, as millions across India watched the television scenes in horror.
Laloo has said claimed that this is a cheap trick by BJP, the money was not bribe, it was produced by the BJP themselves.
Advani meanwhile said that the entire thing is on tape. They had taken a well known reporter of a well known channel who has made a sting video on this case. BJP officials are currently rallying to the speaker to be allowed to play the video in the house.
We are waiting for the tape. This would clarify matters. The news about the “CD” is eagerly awaited.
