Dec. 04, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Valerie Jarrett appeared on MSNBC on Dec. 03. She is the senior adviser and assistant to President Barack Obama on Intergovernmental Affairs and Public Engagement. She spoke at length about the White House security breach that had been brought about by the couple who had gatecrashed the party at the White House, held in honor of the Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. She also commented on the social secretary of the White House, Desiree Rogers, and touched upon the topic of Barack Obama’s job summit.
About the security breach in the White House that had been brought about by the reality show starring couple Tareq Salahi and Michaele Salahi, Valerie Jarrett admitted that the security system could have shown more diligence in their job. She said that the White House ought to have the Secret Service working along with the security guards of the building, considering the importance. She also said that there have been investigations regarding this matter, along with a conference with the one who is responsible for the security of the White House.
Despite being present in the NBC’s “Today Show” and the “Good Morning America” in ABC, Valerie Jarrett was conspicuously absent from the “Early Show” in CBS. This was probably because the particular show had always made an effort to prove that the administration did not have much of a role to play in the party crasher scandal. On “Today”, Valerie Jarrett was asked if she thought the social secretary Desiree Rogers should be questioned on the security breach, something that has not been done yet.
