Uttar Pradesh minister named in attempt to murder case

Ghaziabad, June 1 (IANS) Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Education and Research Minister Rajpal Tyagi and a former municipal councillor have been named as conspirators in a case of attempt to murder a sitting Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) councillor in Ghaziabad, police said Wednesday.
Brahm Pal Jatav was shot at and injured Tuesday evening by two gunmen, police said.
The case was filed on the complaint of the victim’s son Shashi Kant. The complainant alleged that two henchmen of minister Rajpal Tyagi and ex-councillor Vinod Tyagi shot at his father.
Shashi Kant said his father was playing cards with his friends in Ambedkar Park opposite GB Public School in Morta in the evening, when two assailants fired at him.
