U.S. Vice President Biden talks with Dutch Deputy PM Bos
January 20th, 2010 - 5:09 am ICT by BNO NewsWASHINGTON, D.C. (BNO NEWS) — U.S. Vice President Biden on Tuesday spoke with Dutch Deputy Prime Minister Wouter Bos during a phone call, the White House said.
Biden and Bos discussed the American and Dutch contributions to the NATO mission in Afghanistan, which claimed the lives of more than twenty Dutch soldiers. Biden thanked Bos for the “important” Dutch contributions to security and development goals in Afghanistan, the White House said.
Biden also underscored America’s appreciation for Dutch expertise in Uruzgan, and noted the United States’ desire to continue consultations with the Netherlands as the alliance moves forward in implementing its shared strategy in Afghanistan.
