US First grandmother is ‘The Lady About Town’

Washington DC, Feb 17 (THAINDIAN NEWS) US President Barack Obama’s mother in law Marian Robinson is basically a Chicago inhabitant. The US First family asked her to shift to the White House with them, but she wasn’t very much interested to do so. Then they asked her to try the option for three months, at least. She reluctantly agreed, and came to the White House last year. And after a year with her daughter’s family, it seems that she is here to stay for good.
US President remarked that she is “quite the lady about town. But the nice thing is that she just walks out the gate and goes.” This is because she has her own identity, and has her own daily schedule, in her new life at the White House. She helps to look after her grand daughters the 11-year-old Malia and the 8-year-old Sasha. But all the same, she has her own life in the capital. She has her own circle of friends, and they often drop in to the White House as well.
She is an avid shopper, and goes for her shopping sprees on her own, she likes to visit the Kennedy Centre and she also takes along her grand daughters Malia and Sasha to and from school almost everyday. And the best part about the whole thing is that she has a certain level of anonymity as well, which pleases Barack Obama and his wife Michelle no end.

As a tax paying american I just love the fact that the white house is now being used as a apartment building. I don’t think any of the Obama’s belong in the white house, let alone the GRANDMOTHER??? She belongs back in Chicago, which was, the last time I checked, still one of the most corrupt cities in the country.

i wonder why any person would think that an elected president and his family do not belong in the white house. is there a different qualification that the obamas cannot fit?
