US consulate set ablaze in Libya

Tripoli, Sep 12 (IANS) Dozens of protesters rushed into the US consulate in Libya’s Benghazi city Tuesday night and set the building on fire, said witnesses.

The attack was reportedly a move against a movie which insulted Prophet Mohammed, Xinhua reported.

Earlier in the day, in a similar incident several thousands of Egyptians protested in front of the US embassy in Cairo to express their anger over the movie produced by some Coptic migrants in the US which insulted the Prophet.
